Toronto, June 16, 2003 - On May 26, 2003 the Canadian Association of Law Libraries/Association canadienne des bibliothèques de droit (CALL/ACBD) presented Carswell with the Award for Excellence in Legal Publishing in recognition of Westlaw®eCARSWELL®. Don Van Meer, Carswell's President and CEO, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
According to CALL/ACBD, the award was created in 1998 as "a means to honour publishers who have produced excellent products, and to encourage excellence in new publishing endeavours." A Committee of CALL/ACBD reviews nominations for the Award and receives comments from law librarians in recommending the winner to the Executive Board.
