The Canadian Abridgment eDigests are a current awareness service that is designed to help lawyers and legal researchers keep abreast of the latest developments in case law for a particular topic.

The content is derived from case digests that have been written for The Canadian Abridgment Case Digests. The Canadian Abridgment eDigests are available for specific topical areas, and represent a sub-set of all of the cases digested for The Canadian Abridgment, excluding cases that are judged to have little precedential value.

With the Abridgment eDigests users can link to the full text decision of each digest by clicking on the case citation that appears at the bottom of each eDigest. Users are able to scan a subject area and find cases relevant to issues of interest to them right at their desktops.

The Canadian Abridgment eDigests are available to users as part of their WestlaweCARSWELL subscription, based on the Source service to which they subscribe and are e-mailed to users in html format. If you have a WestlaweCARSWELL subscription and are not receiving the eDigests, please contact your Corporate or Departmental Administrator.

LawSource subscribers receive all of the available topics. Specialty Source subscribers (i.e., FamilySource, CriminalSource, InsolvencySource, SecuritiesSource) receive the topics that correspond to their specialty.
