OnePass Login
Sign on with more security, more control, more convenience.
With OnePass, Westlaw-issued passwords are a thing of the past as you create your own username and password to help protect your identity and the information you access. Plus, since you create your own password, it'll be easier to remember.
More secure – New usernames and passwords have stronger character requirements. Plus, because you create your own username and password, only you know what it is, and it will be easier to remember so there's no need to post it near your computer where others can see it.
More control – You'll have control over changing and managing your own username and password. If you forget it, you can reset it yourself without having to call Carswell.
Easier to remember – Instead of having a random identifier assigned to you, you can choose a username and password that are more meaningful to you and easier to remember.

When to switch
New OnePass profile requirements were rolled out in phases starting November 2009. When you sign-on during your scheduled rollout phase, you'll see a notice of when you need to create your own username and password.
The early bird gets the worm.
You can, however, create your new profile before your scheduled rollout. Every OnePass user needs a unique username, so you might want to register early to reserve your preferred username.
NOTE: If you're already accessing Westlaw Canada using your own username and password, but they don't meet the new, stronger requirements, you'll need to update them to meet those requirements on or before your scheduled rollout date.
